1. What We Collect
Engagely collects the following data when you use our service:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and profile picture from Google Sign-In.
- Social media data:When you connect your Instagram or YouTube accounts, we access your published content, engagement metrics (likes, views, comments), and comments from other users on your content. We only access data you explicitly authorize through each platform's OAuth flow.
- AI conversation data: Messages you send to the AI assistant are stored to maintain your conversation history.
- API keys: Your Claude API key is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and stored securely. We never have access to the plaintext key at rest.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Display your social media content and engagement metrics
- Generate AI-powered reply suggestions for comments on your content
- Post replies to Instagram and YouTube on your behalf, only after your explicit approval
- Provide AI-powered analytics about your social media performance
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security. All social media OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We integrate with:
- Google (YouTube Data API): To access your YouTube channel data. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Meta (Instagram API): To access your Instagram content and comments. Subject to Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic (Claude API): To power AI features. Your data is sent to Claude using your own API key. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Deletion
You can disconnect your social accounts at any time from Settings. Disconnecting removes all stored tokens and synced data for that account. To delete your entire Engagely account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Synced social media data is refreshed periodically and old snapshots may be retained for analytics history. You can request deletion at any time.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can revoke Engagely's access to your social media accounts at any time through each platform's settings (Instagram Settings > Apps and Websites, Google Account > Third-party apps).
